In Search of Memphre

NO LANES - NO LINES - NO BORDERS

On the weekend of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, 12 marathon open-water swimmers embarked on the 26-mile length of Lake Memphremagog to cross the international border between Canada and the United States.

· We swim to promote a more open border with our neighbors and friends in Canada.

· We swim to raise money for IROC (Indoor Recreation Orleans County): a sports, fitness and recreation center built largely with private donations and serving the residents of one of the most rural areas of Vermont.

· We swim in search of the legendary sea serpent Memphre

You can make a donation in support of an individual swimmer or make a general donation to support our cause. There is no better way to show your support for a more open border than to make a donation in support of this swim.
